Unexpected

I walked out back this afternoon unsure of what I would find that interested me. I started in black and white because the was a drizzle of rain falling from the cloudy skies. Somehow I ended up with these instead.

A Step Back in Time

I took a short detour on my way home from Baltimore this afternoon. I went to Silver Spring in search of the school where I attended kindergarten. These pictures were taken on the grounds of what was my school many years ago.

I was fortunate to see hundreds of beautiful sunsets over the St. Marys River while in college. I was just as fortunate to be in the right place at the right time tonight to catch this one...

The orange and white daffodil (if that's what it is)-- is the only one of that color among the others that surround my patio.

I spent most of yesterday hanging out at the hospital while my mom was in surgery. I took these when I ventured out in the afternoon for a short walk. (Mom is fine...)

I got a new lens yesterday to allow me to get a bit more distance. It's hard to sneak up on birds but I was lucky to get a few to stay and sit still for me.
