Two pictures, four perspectives

I stepped outside at work today and took two pictures. These four were cropped from those two. One thing I've noticed is that as I figure out what to post each day I usually end up taking only a piece of the picture. Today I was originally drawn to the honeysuckle flower, actually I had been eyeing it for the past two days. Once I got outside I was more impressed with the green against the bright blue sky.

Here and there in Harford County

These are a few more shots from the weekend. Since I live in a urban setting I always enjoy going home and driving the back roads to see the farmland. Unfortunately, the cows were not to be found in the usual places this weekend.

A View from Rocks State Park

I was back in my hometown this weekend. These pictures were taken at Rocks State Park from atop the King and Queen seats. The rocks were used by the Susquehannock as a place for ceremonial gatherings.

Heaven in Hickory

My niece helped me choose the pictures today. She's also responsible for the title. It's nice to have some help every once in a while.

Fun With Color and Contrast

And now with color...

I was playing around with the photo editing program today, mostly with the use of black and white and adjusting the contrast. It's interesting to see how the pictures change when shown in black and white with a little tinkering of the contrast. I favor the black and white shots a bit more for their texture.

Late Afternoon Light

I like way the light falls on these three. The statue I find most interesting because of the way it looks like she is putting her face towards the sun for warmth.
