An unexpected stop
I drove home from work this afternoon by way of the Pentagon and noticed a sign that said Lyndon Johnson Memorial Grove. Certainly I've passed the same sign many times in the past, but today I decided to park and see what was there. I was able to get a few pictures before darkness fell. It's a pretty quiet place, there was no one else around this evening.

Leaving Las Vegas
I guess today's title is a bit cliche, but so much of Las Vegas is so why not go with it. My body took until the day I left to figure out what hour it was so I can't say that I'm all that thrilled with the pictures I got there. These are the last of them. The last two are sculptures I ran into at the airport.

creativity or desperation?
Without much time on my hands today I found myself looking for photo ops at Tysons Corner Mall. The flower is the only "live" shot. The other two were found inside Eddie Bauer. It would be nice to think they have some sort of creative value, but they may also reflect my desperation for art of some sort.

bye, bye Pittsburgh
These are the final pictures from Pittsburgh. The first was taken from Grandview Ave. at the Incline observation area. Night photography is a new thing for me, but I think the shot does an okay job of showing the lights of the city below.
I love the painted on billboards, if I had more time I would have walked around and found more to photograph. These two happened to be close to the hotel.

A few sights around town
Sitting in a conference all day doesn't leave much time for taking pictures, but I was able to find some things of interest. I'm not sure who the "jazzy" guys are but I was surprised to run into them on a downtown street. Many buildings show the the faded advertisements from years before, and then I found one with a rather large mural. The building in the third picture reminds me of another favorite, the Flatiron building in New York. Although the last picture may not do them justice I was drawn to the alley because of the fire escapes that run up and down each of the buildings.
